Emily, one of our CVT's, playing with a very poofy Ro-An - Manchester Veterinary Clinic - CT - Trusted Vets For Your Pets This position first trains the new employee as an Animal Care Nurse to learn both the basic skills of animal care (including cleaning, feeding, monitoring and handling ) and building maintenance (cleaning, stocking), as well as the basics of our hospital’s operations. This includes becoming familiar with patient flow, computerized records, assisting coworkers, hospital policies and animal health information.

Once proficiency with nursing duties is demonstrated, cross-training for reception begins.  Our receptionists are the “face” of our hospital, the greeters for all those who walk in and call in, so natural people skills are a must. Receptionist trainees need to learn much information and a myriad of details so that they will be able to answer client questions, manage and schedule appointments, handle client flow and client contacts and perform payment transactions.  Dr. Soutter examining a very cute dog - Manchester Veterinary Clinic - CT - Trusted Vets For Your Pets
